Real bathymetric profiles means bathymetric profiles that are measured, not those that are generated by extracting values from a seabed grid. An example of real bathymetry is "Corrected Depth Bathymetry" from Geodas.

Exercise: Analyze on a bathymetric line from Geodas

  • Grab the handles of the analysis in the 3D view to narrow in the analysis range.

Exercise: Edit a bathymetric profile

Use the editing functionality to select a portion of a bathymetric profile.

  • Right-click on a bathymetric profile > Edit points and lines.
  • Go to the "Delete" pane, then to the "By closed line" pane and use that to edit.
  • Store the edited bathymetric profile (Save as an extra copy) by pressing "Execute"
  • Analyze the new bathymetric profile.
