Geocap Seafloor training course and workshop

Seabed gridded and displayed with Geocap

Geocap will be arranging a training course covering the functionality of Seafloor. The course is suitable for both novice and experienced Geocap users.

When: December 6th-8th 2011
Where: In our offices in Stavanger.

The participants are expected to bring their own laptops (MS-Windows).
Optional: Bring samples of your own data. Please check data format with us.

Tentative agenda:
Day 1

- Basic Geocap interface and functionality
- Creating Seafloor projects
- Geodetics
- Importing data
- Visualizing input data
- Using the charts concept
- Gridding multibeam/xyz data

Day 2
- Calibration control
- Vessel configuration management
- Import sensor data
- Navigation processing and filtering
- Depth processing and filtering
- Volumetrics
- Points classification
- Export of results

Day 3
- Plotting
- Georeferencing of images and cross section data
- Communication with other GIS packages and databases
- BYOD session (bring your own data)
- Hands on training and discussions

The cost is NOK 7000, ex. VAT for 3 days.
Lunch is included in the training fee.
